In Beijing, 58 games will be played over the course of 18 days, making it the first city to hold both the Summer and Winter Olympics. Ice hockey will be played in two big arenas, both of which were built as part of the 2008 Olympic Games.
The 12-team tournament will be played in three groups, with Canada, the United States, Germany, and China in Group A, ROC, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Denmark in Group B, and Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, and Latvia in Group C, following the format of previous Olympic men’s ice hockey tournaments.

At 9:10 a.m. ET on February 10, the United States will face China and Canada will face Germany in their preliminary round games.
