Introduction
Jared Dovan Anderson (November 16, 1999) is a professional boxer from the United States who has held the Junior NABF heavyweight title since October 2021. He won the 2017 and 2018 U.S. National Championships as an amateur.
Professional Career
Anderson signed a multi-year promotional contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank on September 24, 2019, and made his professional debut a month later on October 26 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada, knocking out Daniel Infante in the first round.
Anderson faced Andrew Satterfield in his third pro bout, which he won by technical knockout in the first round. Anderson defeated Johnnie Langston by technical knockout in the third round on June 9, 2020. Anderson had never made it through the first round in a fight before. Anderson knocked off Hector Perez in the first round again on July 16, 2020.
Anderson advanced past the first round for the second time in his career on September 5, 2020, when he faced Rodney Hernandez, whom he defeated by technical knockout in the fourth round. Anderson ended the year by technically knocking out Luis Pea in the first round on October 31, 2020.
Anderson faced Kingsley Ibeh on February 13, 2021, and won his first fight of the year by knockout in the sixth round. Anderson then faced Jeremiah Karpency on April 10, 2021, and won by knockout once more, this time halting Karpency in the second round.
Anderson upgraded to 10–0 with a second-round technical knockout victory over the previously undefeated Vladimir Tereshkin (22–0–1) on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III on October 9, 2021. Anderson was supposed to fight Oleksandr Teslenko on the undercard of Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Richard Commey in the lightweight division on December 11, 2021. He won the fight by technical knockout in the second round.
